I'm having problems tuning the left knee levers on my Hudson six-string PSG.
I can get the raise working fine, but the lower is not so easy. I'm a relative newbie and I can't remember which should be tuned first, the raise E to F or the lower E to Eb?
Assistance appreciated!

Re: Knee Lever Tuning.
Is it a pull-release changer? If yes, the most important concept is ensuring the full range of motion between the highest and lowest notes on any given string. I don't know anything about Hudson guitars, but assuming it is like most modern pull-release guitars, the raise would be tuned with a nylon on one rod, with a separate lowering rod that tunes the open note with a nylon nut (E in this case), the lowest note is tuned with a stop screw in the back of the changer. On strings with lowers, the raise pull requires slack, enough to allow the lower to drop fully without having the raise rod stop it short of it's intended target. If this is happening, you'll need to loosen the raise and likely increase the amount travel on the lever via its stop screw to compensate and allow the raise to still pull fully. It would help to understand what you're working with if you could post pic of the underside and of the changer/end plate

Re: Knee Lever Tuning.
Thanks for the detailed reply Ian, much appreciated.
It started me thinking about pull rod travel. The E levers have never been totally accurate. I've solved the problem by changing 'holes' on the two E bell cranks.
More travel for the same pedal movement.
Thanks again, I'm now a happy picker again.
