Closure of Fuzzy Pedal Steel Guitar Products / Excel Guitars and Future After-Sales Support

Post by Toshiyuki Shoji »

Important Announcement to Steel Guitar Forum Members and All Excel Guitar Users

I would like to share some important news.

https://www.fuzzypsg.com/int/

Fuzzy Pedal Steel Guitar Products / Excel Guitars has closed its business, bringing its 60-year history to an end.

I worked under Mitsuo Fujii for 13 years and learned a great deal from him. I have the deepest respect for his many decades of outstanding contributions to the pedal steel guitar world. I would also like to sincerely thank all of the people who have supported Excel Guitars over the years.

Going forward, I will be taking over after-sales support for Excel guitars, so please continue to enjoy and use your instruments with confidence.

Thank you very much for everything.

Congratulations on your retirement Mitsuo. I always enjoyed seeing and hearing you at the ISGC in St. Louis. Always kind and friendly and added a special touch to the gathering.

I watched the evolution of the guitar builds over the years and came to be quite impressed with your technology and developments. A guitar you can certainly be most proud of.

Best to you. Your concept has been left in good hands.

So, I'm curious as to where does that leave myself, whom have paid for a guitar build from Fuzzy and have not received it as of yet?

Hi Shoji san,

Where are you located? I work for GS Yuasa Group in the US and travel to Japan 2-3 times a year. I will be in Tokyo 9 Feb. to 11 Feb. and will go to Kyoto after that. I stay in Minato-ku.

Several years ago, a couple of my young Japanese colleagues escorted me to Fujii san’s shop for a visit.
