Hi Jonathan
I've just moved to the Asheville, NC. area, and would have loved to make it this weekend!
BUT - I'm on tour, and don't get back from Nashville until Tuesday... I've only recently become aware of the Saluda event - can you tell me how frequently it's held? It seems I only read about Herby playing it quite recently.
I've heard great things about YOUR playing, and hope to hear you before too long.
Have a good time!

Jonathan, you got to give credit where credit is do son, never forget that. Now dont you think Bill did a great job opening the show for you? He played so hard he dis-abled his amp, might have even broke it, just trying to do a good job for you, now you should certainly give him credit for that don't you think? I think Bill Ferguson did a swell job, maybe next time you could let him play more. (just a suggestion)
Thanks

Jonathan,
I recently moved from the Greenville,SC area to East Tennessee. I hav'nt attended the Saluda Jam for a couple of years due to conflicting scheduls. I was priveleged to play there a few times..even though Herbie Wallace made me look like "a babe in the woods" on the same song.:d. But all the pickers they get there are great. Bill is tremendous where ever he goes whether it's setting the sound right, playing bass, guitar ,steel, or being the host. What can I say about Joe Turner! He's dedicated, and always puts on a good show. The regulars are the foundation for which ever Great guest pickers are there.I'll be working this weekend...but good luck to all of you down South Carolina.

Johnny and I would like to thank Bill Ferguson and Buddy Walker for inviting us to play at the Saluda Show this past weekend. It was our first time going, and everyone was so nice to us. We made lots of new friends, and had a great time. The jam was great fun on Saturday night and I especially enjoyed it when Herby Wallace and Johnny "locked horns" and had some fun. We hope that the Saluda folks will have us back again. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season.

P.S. I also want to thank the crowd for humming the melody of "Burning Memories" for me so I could start my set. I had a senior moment, and couldn't remember the melody of the verse..Has that ever happened to anyone?? It's really embarrassing, but the crowd pulled me through!
