Finger,s touchering
Hi Everyone
I am a begginer..My right hand when I cup my hand to start to play or while trying to play my index finger is not straight toking of goes to the right, and my middle finger goes to the left. and curls over to the right ..I find it difficult because the two pick are rubbing on eack other.
so when I try to play 2 strings the fingers get in the way of each other the other way
I have tried to put the picks slanted the other way but that dident work
I have been a beginer for many years and I get so frustrated I give up
Take care Paul

I'm afraid you'll have to back up a bit, and just slow drill your right hand, keeping your fingers separated.
I'm tempted to put up a link to The Offspring's "Come Out and Play" (aka 'keep them separated').

2 pedal steels, a lapStrat, and an 8-string Dobro (and 3 ukes)
More amps than guitars, and not many effects

Have you had your right hand damaged in any way?
My right hand, Middle Finger has been damaged many times. I could never be a real speed picker.
The first and knuckle joints have the most damage.
The picks on the right were given to me. The bends in the wrapper holes catch on each other and 1 pick would go flying.
It takes a lot of work, To smoothly bend a set of picks, So the picks will pass by each other and not catch and fly off. Good Luck getting set of picks fitted, Happy Steelin.

Can you share a photo of you hand and picks in position to play? Otherwise it's just guessing what your difficulty is. Do you play 6-string guitar, and if so can you use your fingerpicks to play it?
