Steel Guitarist Gerald Benjamin Jr. “Jerry” FIFER? (1950's)

Post by J D Sauser »

I walked into a home in the Dominican Republic about 10 years ago. An elderly American had died and I was shown the house by his widow.
Anyways... as I walk around, I see this picture on the wall

Needless to say that, seeing a Steel Guitarist's picture in the Dominican home perked my interest and upon asking who this was, I was informed this was the Gentleman who passed; Gerald Benjamin Jr. “Jerry” FIFER?
The picture, which looks like a promo picture, shows him with a T8 non-pedal which has now been identified by Forumite Michael Lee Allen as a 1950's CARVIN (see below).

I've long wondered who he was. Anybody?

The uses of Tablature is addictive and has been linked to reduced musical fertility.
Those who produce Tablature did never use it.

I say it humorously, but I mean it.
