Ah. Such good memories. I worked so hard to learn that song, on my beautiful little Sho~Bud Maverick.
It was quite a challenge learning songs by listening to vinyl records!

Great video, I was at that show, everyone always complains about Toy's steel playing, but I thought it was good and he inspired many to play and also listen to country/country-rock music!
Happy New Year Chris!

Happy New Year, Craig! You have been to so many shows of all kinds. That's cool you were at that show and saw Toy play that!

It seemed to me that Toy's steel playing improved a lot over the years. The Tucker band turned a lot of people on to steel guitar, myself included.

New Riders of the Purple Sage

That’s where it all started for me…and I’m sure for lots of other long-haired non-country pickers back then.

Yes Lee, A much overlooked song and albums by the MTB.
I got to meet Doug Gray and Toy after a show at the Lubbock Coliseum back around 80-81, such nice guys.
Happy New years Lee and enjoy your retirement, but do stay busy!
