This is a drawing of Matt Kelly’s Beautiful Red 2011 Show Pro SD10 “The Lloyd Green” with Bill Lawrence 710 pickups. It’s even got the Lloyd Green’s signature on the undercarriage. He bought it from the Steel Guitar Forum from Ron Spears and his been his main recording guitar at home and for gigs locally since he got it in 2019.

I keep saying pedal steel players are nice guys and he’s no exception. I got to meet him at the workshop /lectures at the Cryin’ Time Steel Guitar Convention in Vancouver while Michael Drassler talked about doing diatonic modes without pedals… great talk.

Matt is a pedal steel guitarist, versatile multi-instrumentalist, musical collaborator, and producer based in Toronto. He is the Musical director / bandleader with City and Colour and has been touring and recording with City and Colour since 2013.
Co-produced the latest City and Colour album 'The Love Still Held Me Near'.

Performed / recorded with a long list of other artists including
Pink, Alexisonfire, You+Me, Johnny 99, Altameda, Georgia Harmer, Ben Rogers, Vincent Neil Emerson, The Deep Dark Woods, Courtney Marie Andrews, The Wild North, Bob Sumner, Elliot C Way, and countless others.

- a bit about myself. My name is Vincent Parker, I am a visual artist, pedal steel player and producer based in Vancouver BC Canada. I have been doing a series of drawing of pedal steel guitars for the last lil’ bit. At some point I want to collect them all and make a book out of them. They each can be printed out at 12”x12”. I say that the pedal steel guitar is the American hot rod of musical instruments. I love how they are so personal and individual to each of the players with their looks and copedances. I plan on posting all of my drawings in the forum but you want to see my collection of over 40 drawings I invite you to check them out on my instagram (https://www.instagram.com/ultravincent/).

If you would be interested in getting your PSG drawn and added to the collection please message me and Ill get it in the cue.
